Scoliosis Project:

I have scoliosis and have often felt that our unique issues are often overlooked and unaddressed. Over the past 4 years, I've attended multiple workshops in Maine, New Hampshire, and Atlanta with Meredith Stephens, Physical Therapist, and Anatomy Trains Structural Integrator. These workshops have been a catalyst and inspiration for furthering my understanding of this complex condition. Mrs. Stephens has completed Level II from the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS) in the Rigo Method.

I am a Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist working towards a 1000 hour certification. To achieve this certification that can take years, we are encouraged to choose a speciality, I chose Scoliosis. In May, 2023 I began my Scoliosis Project. My goal is to educate and provide clients with some relief by teaching and blending a variety of myofascial techniques and strengthening exercises.

To participate in the project, I need a commitment of 8 sessions as this will fulfill my YM project requirements. These sessions will last 60-75 minutes and will be offered at a reduced cost in comparison to my usual private session prices. If cost is an issue, please contact me and we can further discuss the price.

What to expect:

-Meet for 8- 60-75 minute sessions

-Allow 4 images to be taken while wearing shorts and a sports bra (these images are not to be shared)

-Learn how to use myofascial tools to address areas of tension

-Learn how to strengthen your body

-Learn breathing exercises

-XRays are much appreciated
